Release of fishing 02 vessels and 11 crew from India

( August 06, 2012, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian ) The coastal security patrolling teams of the Indian Coast Guard - Eastern Region (Andra Pradesh) arrested 11 Sri Lankan fishermen with 02 fishing boats, in the month of May 2012. The two vessels names were Kaveesha-02 and Natasha Duwe.

According to the statement issued by Colombo, " with the intervention of the Ministry of External Affairs of Sri Lanka and the assistance rendered by the Indian High Commission in Colombo, the 02 vessels and the 11 crew members release was expedited by the Indian Coast Guard on 27th July 2012. The vessels are expected to reach Sri Lankan shores by the 8th August 2012."
