Ex-premier advises taking a step backward

( December 23, 2012, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Both the legislature and the judiciary should take a step backward in order to resolve the prevailing dispute between them, said former prime minister and current senior minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake. This dispute would threaten the country with anarchy and disrupt its forward march, he warned. He was speaking at the opening of a carpeted road in Horana yesterday (Dec. 22).
