Hong Kong: Video Allegedly Shows Six HK Police Officers Beating Arrested Protester


( October 15, 2014, Hong Kong SAR, Sri Lanka Guardian) TVB , a local television channel based in Hong Kong SAR, have aired footage allegedly showing around six police officers kicking and punching a handcuffed protester after they were arrested. The protester is said to be Ken Tsang – a Civic Party member. The beating, in a dark corner of Tamar Park, lasted four minutes. Sources say Tsang is now being held at a police processing centre in Wong Chuk Hang as some netizens have attempted to identify the officers allegedly involved.


Security Chief Lai Tung-kwok says six police officers involved have been reassigned.
