( November 18, 2014, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) According to sources, the Jathika Hela Urumaya has unanimously decided to quite the government as it had not received a favourable response to the proposals they had made to the SLFP. The JHU Central Committee, which met last evening, has taken the decision following a four-hour long discussion.

Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera, the leader of Parliamentary group of the JHU had told media that the decision was taken with the consensus of all the Central Committee members and District leaders. The Thera also said the decision would be made public today (18th).

However, JHU legal adviser and Western Provincial Council Minister Udaya Gammanpila had not attended the meeting as he had been admitted to a private hospital.
