Sri Lanka: Ex-Navy Bosses Appointed For Top Maritime Posts

Admiral (Rtd) Sirimevan Ramasinghe with the Minister of Ports & Shiping and Southern Development Sagala Ratnayaka 
Recently retired Commander of Sri Lanka Navy Admiral (Retired) Sirimevan Ranasinghe has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Ports & Shipping & Southern Development, today. 

Meanwhile, Admiral ( Retd) Daya Sandagiri, ex-commander of Sri Lanka Navy has been appointed as the Chairman of the Ceylon Shipping Corporation Ltd. Sanadagiri who has been accused of several misconducts of power during his tenure as the head of the country’s naval force is over 10 years senior to newly appointed secretary Ranasinghe. 

 Established on June 1992 as a company under the company's act of Sri Lanka as a successor to the Ceylon Shipping Corporation (CSC) a state corporation established under the Ceylon Shipping Corporation Act No.11 of 1971. The government of Sri Lanka holds all stakes.
