Conceptual aggression!

– The Sudar Oli Editorial

(September 27, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Conceptual aggression is also a powerful weapon employed by oppressive governments. It can cause damages worse than even destructive weapons.

It is the domination of concepts. While unleashing war on the Tamil homeland, Colombo has also employed the conceptual war, the war propaganda as a strategy like all oppressive regimes.

When the strategy of conceptual aggression is cleverly employed, helpless innocent people will fall a prey. They rarely understand the reality.

The South has not realized this ploy of the war propaganda. Even the international community has not understood this in the right perspective.

The media which has a sacred duty to report the events impartially and in the right perspective and contribute for co-existence of both nations – the Sinhalese and the Tamils – has also fallen a prey to this, knowingly or unknowingly, rightly or wrongly.

This strategy is the domination of the thinking of the masses through calculated designed war propaganda. We await the day when clear thinking, wisdom downs!
