(March 17, Jaffna, Sri Lnaka Guardian) David Poopalapillai the extra energetic effervescent LTTE champion in Canada appears to have evidence that would be vital to any possible war crimes inquiries in respect of Sri Lanka now that the $1000 a day US Attorney Bruce Fein has announced action against Sri Lanka’s Army and Defense chiefs who are believed to hold US Green Cards. This attorney is reported to have appeared for the opposite side before. Even devils can retain attorneys in the US; that is how the term “Devil’s Advocate” came to be used.
According to Poopalapillai who fled Batticaloa to save his skin from his clients, “hostaged” civilians are shot at the back when they flee from the Tiger grip but this is not the dastardly act of the Tigers but the army personnel of the Sri Lankan Forces. Poopalapillai claims that it is the army chaps in Tiger gear who are carrying out this operation to cast a bad name on his friends, Prabhakaran and his terror band.
That being so, Canada’s RCMP or any other security force must investigate this claim and record his evidence which is crucial to any possible war crimes inquiry. We are sure Poopalapillai will cooperate fully and we are also requesting him to volunteer his evidence in the interests of the Tamils not just the Diaspora alone.
As a matter of fact, David Poopalapillai is among the last of the faithful Tiger supporters in Toronto and even people like Gary Sangary have evidently opted to go into the background. We are also told many of the Tiger fund collectors have no need to go from door to door anymore because most of their mortgages have been paid and recently with lump sum payments.
But this will not prevent new entrepreneurs to enter into this highly lucrative method of raising tax free income. The excuse this time could be to build hospitals and schools in Wanni and countless other causes; the sky is the limit for such an activity.
Meanwhile, today David Poopalapillai and his Tiger friends will be holding Tiger flags at Nathan Philip Square, Down Town Toronto in what has been claimed as the most determined Tiger voice. The CMR Radio, and the demonstrators have been urged to shout the name of Prabhakaran like a Pentecostal revival meeting for the great savior of the Tamils to come down and bless them and lead them to the land of the free Tamils, the Eelam with the slogan “Ellam for us Lord Prabha!” which is all for us Lord Prabha in Tamil.
Among the people who will be participating, vadai and bananas provided, there is a feeling there will never be another event like this ever. They feel sad that there will never be any chance to shout for ceasefire to save the Tigers unless of course a New Tiger movement is raised in Canada now that they have failed in India.
Since these chaps have a penchant for white skins, there is every chance that the Scarborough-Agincourt Liberal Member of Parliament, Jim Karygiannis may be asked to lead the New Tigers in Canada. A few years ago, it was this Mr Karygiannis while addressing a Tiger gathering, suddenly turned his back on the audience, dropped his trouser down and said that it was his way of expressing his contempt for the Government of Sri Lanka.

Say what you want about Poopalapillai, at least the man is brave enough and has the guts to be in public with his own name, unlike you, who is hiding behind a fake name and standing on some random highway as your fake address. Don’t be such a coward. Sad!
I wonder why is that only Tamils never get good representation in Parliaments. It does not matter what country it is.
In Canada Jim Kary is the most popular and well liked MP among Tamils and Tamils only. Few years ago Toronto Star had a study about the MPs in Canada and issued report card. Our Jim Kary is the ONLY MP in Canada who got F grade. Some get Cs but Jim could not get even a c-. it was noted then that he rarely goes to Parliament.
When confronted subsequently he noted that nothing can be achieved in Ottawa. So he prefers to stay in his constituency with his people and in fact he does, spends time in B'day parties, age attaining ceremonies, new house warming ceremonies etc. etc.
In fact once when he went to a temple at Nashdene Road, Scarborough, Pillaiyar was being carried around the temple. When the carriers saw Jim coming to the temple they left Pillaiyar on the floor and ran to the gate to receive the white Pillaiyar.
So much so to our Jim..
You are a brave writer amidst Eelamists' guns and bullets in downtown Toronto. March on my friends, expose more about the gutter dwellers and what they are up to. Can we disguise as LTTE debt collectors to pay our mortgages?

Richard: Please note there is a big difference between bravery and foolishness. The Tamil community in Canada surely has got someone with a higher IQ and a better education than this joker David. BTW, I do not recall the brave leader of LTTE sending his business card through his suicide bomber messengers.
