(May 13, Jaffna, Sri Lanka Guardian) Mr. Wimal Weerawansha’s the National Freedom Front, MP Piyasiri Wijenaike and five others were further remanded until May 27 by Attanagalle magistrate I.P.D. Liyanage.
They were remanded on May 5 over the killing of JVP supporter Nandana Balage at Veyangoda.
The Attanagalla magistrate ordered the police on April 29th to arrest the parliamentarian Wijenaike along with five other suspects. -Sri Lanka Guardian
