Solution based on Indian model ideal, Anandasangaree tells Karunanidhi

(November 12, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) A solution based on the Indian model should be introduced to solve the issues of the Sri Lankan Tamil community, says the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF). The President of the TULF, V. Anandasangaree has reiterated this in a letter to the Chief Minster of Tamilnadu, M. Karunanidhi.

Mr. Anandasangaree has requested the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu to muster the support of all in Tamilnadu, forgetting all political differences, for the cause of the Tamils in Sri Lanka.

In his letter, the TULF President points out that the role of the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu is of paramount importance in this venture.

”We, the minority parties, are getting together to work on a common programme to defend the rights of the minorities in a united Sri Lanka,” the letter said.

TULF President has also urged the Tamilnadu Chief Minister to make use of the present opportunity to convince the Central Government that a solution as proposed would be the one acceptable to the Sri Lankan minorities.
