(December 16, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) At least three persons have gone missing and a Prado Jeep set on fire following clashes between the TMVP and the Karuna faction in Thirukkovil, Ampara today afternoon, reports from the area said.
Initially the TMVP cadres were attacked when they were passing the SLFP office in the area. Three TMVP cadres have been reported missing and three others injured.
A vehicle had been dispatched to locate the missing persons, but at around 5.00 p.m. that vehicle had come under attack and set on fire. The whereabouts of the driver is not known. -Sri Lanka Guardian
