UN boss trying to interfere with our work, says Premier

( March 30, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake questions whether foreigners have any right to interfere with Sri Lanka's internal affairs.

The Premier raised this question at a function held in Kamburupitiya last evening to declare open the Kamburupitiya public market.

“A strong parliament is needed to throw out the obstacles that we face along our journey towards rapid development. Moon is trying to interfere with our work from the United Nations. What right does a foreigner has to interfere with our matters?

"We may be a poor, small country that has a small population. But we are an independent, sovereign country,” said premier.
