Rajapaksa must allow foreign forensic experts to investigate Lasantha's murder case

(January 14, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The President Mahinda Rajapaksa says there is no evidence to further the investigation. But the lack of mind and will are the causes that obstruct justice. It is amply evident that the country’s leadership has some thing to do with the murder and its investigation. Therefore it is imperative that Sunday leader begin their own investigation with funds from the Diaspora, besides there are free services available.

This is the right thing to do, for Mahinda says no evidence, yes, there is plenty of evidence but there is no will to investigate. We are pretty confident who the suspect is, but when the suspect is the head of the investigation, how can the suspect be apprehended?

For some strange reason Mahinda thinks “pulling wool over people’s eyes” is as easy as he thinks.

Let your conscience be your own judge. Two people knew who the murderer is; the man who gave the nod and the man who pulled the trigger, we know the man who gave the nod, but first we have to find the man who pulled the trigger.
