LTTE Thanan beaten and hospitalised

(April 05, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) According to news circulating in London, the Head of fund raising for the LTTE Rupert Soosaipillai, known as Thanam is being manhandled and is said to be receiving treatment for injuries in a hospital.

He is said to have received serious injuries to his head and have received stitches for eight serious wounds.

The controversial fund raiser is said to be involved in the internecine quarrel to take control of the British Tamil Forum with the violent and hardcore elements within the organisation.

He is also accused of collecting funds from the public even on the day of LTTE leader Pirabakaran’s death and is said to have not accounted them to anyone.

Unemployed Thanam is said to be able to live a comfortable life without employment, despite his fund raising role has ended following the defeat of the LTTE in Sri Lanka.
