The Greasy President

Greasy Devil! Greasy President!! Maumar in death knell!!!

Rajapakse & Co., cannot get away with murders, thinking that many massacres in Sri Lanka never reached the international centre stage in the past. The bloody massacres of the Tamil civilians by the state machinery in 2009 will be a hard lesson for Sri Lanka to learn to end its violent politics against its own people for ever.

When you dance with the devil, never
fool yourself into thinking that you’re leading.

(August 24, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) President Dr Mahendra Percy Rajapakse must be highly worried about the situation facing his buddy, the mad man Maumar Gadafi. The Greesy President of Sri Lanka is well known for going out of the way to make friendship with rogue nations to down play the international outcry on the war crimes charges and to secure the much needed funds for his deceptive development work to cover up his failures.

The President personally made couple of visits to Libya. He was physically embraced by Maumar and Maumar was even feeling comfortable to rest his elbow on President’s shoulder in a public appearance. More recently, the President sent his son Namal to Tripoli as a special guest and Maumar personally welcomed his little boy who is being groomed to match the culture of politics of Maumar.

The interesting of the stories was the special telephone call made by Gadafi to President Rajapakse at the outset of the international bombing raids on Libya. It showed the closeness of the two despotic leaders.

Maumar gave US $500 million loan to President Rajapakse at high interest rate and there must have been many other secret deals between the two for Sri Lanka to get involved so deeply with a pariah state Maumar’s Libya.

Alarm bells must be ringing amongst Rajapakse circles on the fate accompli of Gadafi and the lesson that Sri Lanka will be learning on war crimes charges even though Sri Lanka will not be physically harmed by the west like Libya.

After forty two years of rule, mad man Gadafy is pinned down to face his ultimate destiny. One time he was a hero propping up terrorism against the west. How will he emerge out of the ashes of the bombing raids is an answer known to everyone. He will either perish in the conflict or face the fate of Noriyega of Nicaragua or even Sadam Hussain or the Ceausescu’s of Rumania. The end to his rule will be another lesson for many rogue and despotic nations.

The world has progressed fast to deal with pariah states like Libya, unlike a decade ago when they gloated on the international impasse due to constrained management of international politics. International mechanisms are fast gearing to deal with nasty regimes that purge their own people.

Rajapakse & Co’s credentials are sorry state of affairs. In the name of defeating the LTTE they had deceived the international team players in their military effort against the LTTE. The team players were aghast of the sheer brutality of the state military machinery that defeated the LTTE at a catastrophic human costs. Rajapakse & Co., appeased the international team players of political settlement after the war effort, but this soon proved a deceptive rooster offered to deceive the international community.

After having defeated the LTTE outright, the government is accusing the international effort of war crimes against it as the work of the LTTE rumps and trying to rally the international community against the democratic agitations and the outcry of the Tamil brethrens ejected out of the country as exclusively LTTE effort.

The international community went heavy on the LTTE agents in the West. Sting operations by the FBI on the LTTE arms procurers and heavy police action against the group in the European countries constrained the LTTE heavily. Many languished in prisons for many years. With the downfall of the LTTE and arrogant behaviour of the Rajapakse & Co., theforce of the laws against those arrested of LTTE connection in the west started melt down. The silent release of the LTTE arms procuring agents by the FBI recently speaks of frustration of the west of Sri Lanka playing balls with them.

International war crimes outcry against Rajapakse & Co., will not die down and as non oil or mineral producing nation Sri Lanka will face the due process progressively unlike the hammer blow operation against the Gadafi regime. Rajapakse & Co., will have all the time play their greasy game until force of the international law take its course.

Rajapakse & Co., must learn hard lessons from the war against the mad man Gadafi and it must stop playing the slippery devil game to play its foul play by moving the goal posts at its own will.
