35 Pakistani frontier corps personal dead in an attack carried out by BLA

( February 03, Balochistan, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Baloch freedom fighters attacked Pakistani security forces on Tuesday morning and claimed to have killed 35 soldiers.

According to details the fighters of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), in an apparently pre-planned and co-ordinated attack, have simultaneously attacked six check posts of Pakistan’s Para-Military troop in Margat and Babar Kach areas of Balochistan on Tuesday Morning. In the day-long fierce battle 35 Pakistani soldiers were killed, over two dozen injured and at least eight taken hostage. The Baloch fighters also took away the weapons of the killed soldiers and set all the check posts on fire.


Meerak Baloch, spokesman of Baloch Liberation Army accepted responsibility of the attacks adding that the fighting took near of Sibi town of Balochistan. He further said that the attack was in revenge of the cowardly act of target killing of the granddaughter of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti, Zamo Bibi, her 13 years old daughter Janan and their family driver Barkat Baloch. The victims were also the sister and niece of exiled Baloch leader Brahumdagh Bugti.

Sources reported that two Baloch freedom fighters have also lost their lives in the attack against on Pakistani forces.

Meanwhile, according to media reports clashes between Pakistani security forces and Baloch freedom fighters continued on the second consecutive day on Wednesday in the Marget area of Sibi district. The Pakistani soldiers left their weapons behind and hide in caves after the attack but the Baloch fighters continued to chase and gun them down.
