Strike observed in Turbat city against targeted killing of a Baloch civilian

(20 July, 2012, Balochistan, Sri Lanka Guardian) Turbat: full shutter and wheal strike observed in district Turbat of Baluchistan after Baloch nationalists’ parties called for strike. According to the reports markets, shopping centers, restaurants, public and private sectors remained off in entire day. Traffic remained jammed for any kind of transportation and city remained off for all kinds of business. Baloch nationalists went went on strike after extra judicial killing of a Baloch political worker in hands of Punjabi police yesterday in District Panjgoor.

 According to reports from Turbat a complete wheel-jam strike was observed in different parts of district Turbat on Thursday against the killing of Siraaj Sameen Baloch a civilian and injuring his companion Dilawar Baloch by police official in district Panjgoor on Wednesday morning.

Balochistan nationalist parties including Baluchistan National Moment, BRP and Balochistan National front had given the strike call in protest against the killing a civilian in area of Chithkan Panjgoor.

Responding the strike call areas including Turbat, Mand, Tump, Buleda and Balicha remained closed with thin traffic plying on the road.

Gwadar highway was closed for traffic while residents of the affected areas were facing difficulty in obtaining food supplies.
