A curfew has been imposed with immediate effect (Apr 21) until 6 pm tomorrow, the Presidential Secretariat announced a short while ago.
This decision was taken to facilitate ongoing investigations into the explosions which occurred across the country today, the Presidential Secretariat said.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardena told reporters today that discussions have been held with senior security officials including IGP Pujith Jayasundara in this regard.
The curfew will be imposed after taking into consideration the current situation in the country.
