(January 07, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Thiruvengadam Velupillai (86), father of V. Prabhakaran, died last night at Panagoda. “At the time of his death, he was under the protection of the Army at the Army camp in Panagoda,” said military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara.“He was suffering from paralysis and arrangements were made for him to seek treatment from the national hospital on several occasions,” said the brigadier.
