Secret spy network to monitor everyone at the Airport


(October 08, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Three Sri Lankan Tamils who arrived at Colombo from Indonesia have been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) at the Katunayaka International Airport on October 05. To-date there is no information about these people, the Sri Lanka Guardian learns.

According to the sources, M.K. Vigneswaram, from Jaffna, Ilayathambi Thindujan from Batticaloa and Ravindran Sudarshan from Mannar arrived at the Airport and were in the line for immigration clearance when the CID took them in for interrogation.

The person who went to the airport on behalf of the company based in Colombo to received them told the Sri Lanka Guardian, "The three people were taken by the CID but until now there is no updated information".

Vigneshawaram in particular is a prominent businessman who runs a fuel filling station in Mardanamadam, Kankasanthurei, was a candidate for the provincial council elections of the Ceylon Workers Congress. In the last few weeks other people have been arrested by the CID and taken to secret locations and no one knows what has happened to them.
