So, there was a war

So, there was a war.
Borrowing each day
Borrowing more and more
Youth to die in the lines.
Lure them with smiles
Lure them with songs
And which ever way you like
Take them to die.
Create a dream and a romance
Of this walk to be slaughtered
Sing more songs after they die,
Tell the world
We did it all quite fine.
In remote villages aged men and women
May mourn,
Rest of the nation is entertained
With fine songs.
