( November 1, 2018, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, who called on President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat this evening urged the President to convene Parliament on Monday or Tuesday.
The President, in turn, had promised to respond to this request as soon as possible. However, no specific details were given.
Meanwhile, the President during the discussion requested the Speaker to provide the necessary facilities in Parliament to Mahinda Rajapaksa as he was Prime Minister.
